For the recreational fisherman Sunday Island rarely disappoints. You can cast off the jetty for flathead, australian salmon, garfish, mullet and whiting and if you are lucky snapper. Squid and octopus are often caught from here too. Try the back creek for the same. Find a friend with a tinny and try for gummy shark and bigger snapper. or you can surf fish the famous 90 mile beach. Flounder frequent the shallows at high tide if you have a light and spear. Waders are recommended in colder months.
