Committees

The Co-operative is controlled by a board of seven directors, elected by the members, being a statutory requirement of the
Cooperation Act. Para Park Co-operative Game Reserve Ltd. is a Community Advancement Society formed under the act, and
has its own bylaws adopted from the Cooperative Rules.
Each director serves for two years. Consequently four directors stand for re-election one year and the remaining three the
following year.The Chairman of the Board is elected by the directors, usually at the first meeting following the annual general
meeting.
The Principle committees reporting to the board, via a responsible director are:
1) Game Management
2) Projects ( includes construction, buildings, maintenance, jetty etc)
3) Plant and Machinery
4) Risk Management
5) Public Relations and Membership ( P.R.A.M.)
6) Disciplinary
Members of the foregoing are approved by the Board, together with the Secretary of each committee.
There are also "member group" committees such as Tents and Units, Boating, Social, Game Birds, Gardeners, Flora and
Fauna. Members of these committees are elected by those members who are interested in a particular accommodation or
activity, or simply enthusiastic folk, wishing to help fellow members in providing additional facilities, organising social
gatherings or persuing common interests.
Rules and ByLaws
The original aims and objectives carried through, essentially unchanged are:

1. To maintain the freehold property known as Sunday Island, along with buildings and equipment, and maintain the Island in perpetuity as a
game management and hunting area.
2. To conserve the game animals and birds, which at present inhabit the island. To compliment these with other game species which are both
suitable and desirable as decided by unanimous decision of the Game Management Panel. To control noxious animals and birds.
3. To carry out such land and water conservation projects as will improve the habitat and game carrying capacity of Sunday Island.
4.To provide a controlled area for wildlife research.
5. To provide and maintain such facilities as are considered necessary or desirable for the benefit of members.
6. to undertake, foster or assist in any project which is considered beneficial to wildlife conservation in particular, and to the sports of hunting and
shooting generally.
Charter

1. To promote good relations within the membership of the Co-operative
2. To foster goodwill within the community at large.
3. To maintain and update Handbook.
4. To seek out, propose, and assimilate new members, and to maintain optimum numbers.
5. To promote the aims and objectives of the Co-operative within the membership.
6. To maintain a register of members Name, Address, Occupation, Phone numbers.
7. Other items as required.
